The Metropolitan Centre is a private meeting and conference centre providing an exclusive service to Calgary's business community. We are not a hotel, we are not a public convention centre and as such we focus our attention and 100% of our resources to serving the business community. The Metropolitan Centre hosts more Annual General Meeting's than any other public venue in Calgary. Our staff understand the guidelines and reporting rules required for regulatory compliance and are on hand to make it a smooth and seamless day for your staff. Our custom catering service can be scaled to provide service for a year where celebration is in order following a successyear or a modest selection should the message be more modest.

Press Conferences & Broadcast Facilities
Organizing a professional media event or release? Host your press conference or product launch in our tiered Grand Lecture Theatre with a built in camera deck, direct broadcast lines to the Telus Operations Centre (TOC), multi-screen capabilities, seating for a small presser or a large scale announcement for 50 or 150.
Press conferences are seamless at The Metropolitan Centre, thanks to the xperienced event planning staff and our wealth of state-of-the-art AV equipment. Our custom catering service can be scaled to provide service for a grand announcement or a modest selection should the message mandate.

Adaptable, flexible and unique, The Metropolitan Centre's event spaces can be tailored to suit any event, ranging from stylish soirees to formal business meetings to fundraisers whereby we join your planning team to ensure we can maximize the money riased for your charity.
Unlike Calgary's Hotels and Convention Centre, there are no booking policy restrictions, black out periods, or minimal room block requirements in effect at The Metropolitan Centre. You are welcome to book your event multiple years in advance and we will not unilaterally bump or relocate your event.
The Metropolitan Centre is a private facility where we can offer exclusive access and unprecedented security for VIP events, town hall meetings, AGM'S, Investor Conferences, data rooms, Political Events etc. We are not a public convention facility or public hotel open to general traffic or hundreds of hotel guests. We have hosted numerous events for PMO, Ministry or State, Provincial Premiers. During the G-8, The Metropolitan Centre hosted the White House and the US Press Center where security and service were of paramount importance to the US Secret Service, US Military and the Canadian DND. We work closely with CPS and RCMP VIP detail. We work closely with your HSSE departments to coordinate electronic and canine security sweeps.
